What is it?
International Mountain Leader and Ogwen Mountain Rescue team member Tim Harrop will help us think about how we can get the most from climbing and our climbing partners, with insights into the world of mountain rescue along the way.
Expect an interactive session that covers partnering, avoiding heuristic traps and how Tim and the team approach technical rope rescues in a remote region.
We’ll finish with a social mixer to help independent climbers connect, ready to hit the crag on Saturday and Sunday.
Who’s it for?
Everyone is welcome. This session may be especially useful if you are:
- Climbing independently, especially if you want to find climbing partners for the weekend
- On a course but interested in climbing independently in the future
- Interested in learning about mountain rescue
