Community Programme

ClimbOut may look professional but it’s run entirely by community volunteers.

We want to keep that spirit alive, creating a space where we all own and create what ClimbOut means.

We know that our attendees have skills, knowledge and their own community work going on, we want to share that!

There are two elements to the community programme: Community Activities and the Community Stand. Any festival attendee (or group) can volunteer for these elements.

Community Activities

Want to share an activity, passion or skill with your fellow attendees? Looking for the support to do it in a designated space for 30-60 minutes? Community Activities are your space.

Past examples include mindfulness, board game hosting, a campfire sing-a-long and cyanotype (a craft activity).

This year’s could involve leading a nature walk, a star gaze, a dance – all ideas are welcome!

Principles of Community Activities

  • Free to attend
  • Accessible to as many people as possible
(participant numbers can be capped and we can support you in meeting access needs)
  • Lasting 30-60 minutes
