Hello! I’m Ali, I’m from Scotland but based in Plymouth and I’ve been involved with ClimbOut since the idea for a queer climbing festival first emerged. I lead on ClimbOut’s comms and social media and the festival schedule.
I got the bug for climbing when I lived back in Manchester and have been pretty obsessed ever since. I love a day of adventurous climbing, whether that’s on the Cornish sea cliffs or in the Alps.
The first ClimbOut festival was so much fun! I knew it’d be a blast getting a bunch of queers in a field together for a weekend of climbing but I hadn’t realised how much joy this space would bring to so many. Climbing was the best gift anyone ever gave me and it was amazing to be able to share that with others over the weekend.
