Hi, I’m Matilda, aka “M”. I live in Devon where I work as a genetic counsellor and lecturer. When not busy with genes I organise ClimbOut’s social programme (sneaking in a little acro teaching on the side)! I’ve tried to bring my previous EDI role into the social programme and my goal is to ensure that there is something for everyone.
Terrified of heights yet awkwardly in love with mountains, my climbing is less about crushing and more about enjoying the process. Can also be found whizzing down hills runs (after muttering through the ascent).
Joining the Devon LGBTQ+ climbing club gave me a community. My hope is that ClimbOut gives a piece of that joy to everyone who attends.
