This one-day course offers participants the opportunity to enjoy climbing outdoors on a pre-placed rope (just like you’d see at an indoor climbing wall, but outside!). It is designed for both novices and people who have done some indoor or even a little outdoor climbing before.
It is aimed at folk who would prefer a more relaxed/less instructional session than for example ‘Introduction to Rock Climbing’, focusing slightly more on the overall experience of climbing outside and/or getting more climbing done, rather than a course focused more on developing new skills.
Having said that, our adaptable instructors will also be able to help out with a little bit on coaching movement, being a safe ‘bottom-rope’ belayer and other learning objectives which can be tailored to the group.
This one-day climbing course also works well for those that fancy combining it with a one-day hill walk or scramble course, resulting in a nice and versatile weekend!
Duration: 1 day (Saturday 12th September and/or Sunday 13th September)
Ratio: 1:6
