This two-day course aims to help participants become a competent and confident multi-pitch leader. Learn all the required skills to progress from single pitch trad climber, to safely and efficiently lead multi-pitch routes.
This course is run on a one instructor to two participants ratio (1:2) so as well as aiming to develop multipitch climbing skills, this low ratio will allow your instructor to ‘fine tune’ the weekend to meet participants personal aims and pitch it at a level appropriate to each individual’s stage of development.
Duration: 2 days (Saturday 12th September and Sunday 13th September)
Ratio 1:2
Minimum Age: 18
Prerequisite Experience: This course is intended for the already independent single pitch climber and must have experience of lead climbing single pitch trad routes, as well as the ability to belay another lead climber.
Required equipment: Please bring your harness, helmet, rock shoes and belay plate. If you have any other climbing equipment such as slings, carabiners and quickdraws please bring them too. This will give an opportunity to discuss equipment as a group.
