Aspirations to hike or climb more in the mountains, but don’t have the confidence to navigate in this landscape? This one-day course aims to explore the local mountains while building your navigational knowledge, so you feel more confident about adventuring in the mountains.
It also works well for those that fancy combining it with a one-day self rescue, relaxed bottom-roping or scrambling course, resulting in a nice and versatile weekend!
Duration: 1 day (Saturday 12th September)

Minimum Age: 14 (under 18s must be supervised by an adult who is also a participant on this course).
Pre-requisite experience: None (but useful to have some basic knowledge around maps and compasses).
Required equipment: Insulating layers, Trekking/walking trousers (not cotton), Hat & gloves, Waterproof jackets and trouser, Insulated synthetic jacket, Summer hillwalking boots, Gaiters, 30-40lt rucksack.
