Discover Scrambling

Discover scrambling and learn how to tackle steep terrain in our mountains with this one-day course. From airy ridges to technical steps, scrambling is exhilarating and takes you to incredible locations. Scrambling tackles the middle ground between walking and climbing. If you hill walk or do a bit of climbing at your local indoor wall, then you are well on your way to discovering the awesome world of scrambling & mountaineering.

Confident and competent movement skills are key to scrambling. This course aims to develop the movement, technical skills and effective route reading (and if appropriate, emergency ropework skills) to tackle steeper terrain in our mountains more confidently.

It also works well for those that fancy combining it with a one-day self rescue, relaxed bottom-roping or hill walking course, resulting in a nice and versatile weekend!
