I started climbing at 36, and a year later, I was diagnosed with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (multiple scars).
I live in Derby, UK. I took up climbing seriously in 2016 when I discovered Paraclimbing. Winning multiple National Competitions. I represent GB Climbing as part of the Paraclimbing Team, winning medals in International World Cups and World Paraclimbing Championships.
To me, climbing is a place where you can socialize and meet people and a sport where age and fitness don’t matter. When I am not training for competitions, I am an Inclusive Climbing Coach bringing climbing to all – working with all ages and looking for future climbers who might be interested in competing. I specialize in coaching people with conditions including visually impaired, missing limbs, ADHD, Autistic spectrum, anxiety, depression, down syndrome, learning disabilities, POTS, EDS, Cerebral palsy and the LGBT+ and BIPOC community, and in doing so work with all levels of ability.
