This course will introduce the skills required for big walling (free and aid), including:
- Tactics, route choice, and gear selection
- Belay building and stance management
- Free/aid climbing skills
- Jumaring
- Hauling systems
- Technique coaching

Minimum Age: 18
Pre-requisite experience: Aimed at experienced and independent trad climbers who can already lead, belay, and efficiently build safe anchors using slings or the rope. Attendees will have led a minimum of 40 climbs with recent experience at HVS. Previous multipitch experience and rope rescue knowledge would be useful but not essential.
Required equipment: Attendees should have a harness, helmet, chalk bag, approach shoes or boots, and climbing shoes as a minimum, but please bring all of the equipment that you have including rack, ropes etc.
