Hi! I’m Alex, a junior doctor based in Plymouth. I attended ClimbOut last year and had so much fun that I wanted to be involved with organising this year’s festival! I’m now part of the comms and social media team.
I’ve been indoor climbing on and off since I was a child but it’s only in the last 2 years that the bug has properly bitten me hard and I now spend as much time climbing indoors and outdoors as possible!
I love sport, trad & bouldering equally – I’m happiest in a forest in Fontainebleau, up a mountain or on a multi-pitch cliff climb! Last year I attended as just a climber and had THE BEST weekend! The courses taught me so much and it was such a joy to be surrounded by so many awesome queer folk. I made friends there who I’ve since met up with in different parts of the country and I can’t wait to do it all again this year!
